Heliosaga is searching for a female lead vocalist. Heliosaga is a symphonic power metal band from San Antonio TX and is influenced by a variety of metal sub-genres. We are comprised of four dedicated musicians who are goal-oriented and career-minded.

GOALS

General overview of what we are looking for:
VOCAL STYLE: proficient in both operatic/classical and hard rock vocals (formal training preferred)
COMMITMENT: wants to do this as a career, and will work hard for that!
AGE: 18-28 (exceptions will be considered for the right person)
AVAILABILITY: weekends fully open for shows, minimum one day Mon-Thurs for practice, can travel for shows
LOOK: willing to look the part, can naturally fit in this genre of music as a female lead vocalist
DEDICATION: a strong work ethic, motivated to be an active member of the band, easy to get along with

I see Dave you have just posted the review of the new Stevie Nick's cd. Nice review Dave which means I must go out and buy the cd. Interesting to read Phil's review of my band's CD Pan: An Urban Pastoral by Persephone's Dream. This was the obvious problem with the CD, how to make it navigable without destroying the basic idea of the CD, that it is indeed one whole composition, not seperate songs. So, Phil, you should not have been keeping your eye on the song numbers but just follow along with the provided booklet of story and lyrics. Also, the traditional verse, chorus, verse, chorus, is ever present in pop music. I suggest listen to pop music, not prog or classical. Also, our singer is listed as vocals, not lead vocals. We are a band not a band that backs up a singer. We all do our part towards the music. Thanks for the compliments though....much appreciated. -Jim -PD

I am an avid fan of female fronted bands and all female bands I have over 500 differet bands in my collection,and try to go and see as many as I can,recently saw kittie a great gig by them.good gig comong up sunday 14th march at the underworld camden,THEATRE OF TRAGEDY,WHERE ANGELS FALL,TO-MERA,PYTHIA ,THE MARIANNA HOLLOW,should be a great nite,a week later CLOSTERKELLER,make a rare appearance in the uk at the same venue,although I am having trouble obtaining their latest album,someone really needs to sign the marianna hollow,a very good upcoming band
